An Old School, neighborhood seafood classic, nautically themed and spotlessly tidy. Coastal maps and wood paneled booth seating make for a unique dining experience, with family or out-of-towners. Prices noticeably reasonable for a high-quality meal.Choice of oysters on the half shell, freshly hauled from either Mexico or British Columbia. Nothing more than a squeeze of lemon needed. Shrimp Cocktail, perfectly blanched, served with namesake sauce and horseradish. Seafood Cioppino, generously portioned with shellfish, squid and white fish medley — served in a fragrant red sauce (similar to a Venetian busara with hints of cinnamon) over fettuccine. Only comment is the pasta could have been a bit more al dente.Located along the Hyde & Powell cable car line. Hop on Hop off while en route to Union Square or Fisherman’s Wharf.pm-pm happy hour, where oysters come and beer flows at a bargain.

Had the seafood pasta. The sauce was lacking taste. The scallops and shrimp were very small and compared to the frozen bags one buys at Costco. Finally, the small chunks of salmon were extremely fishy in taste. It was my Big Birthday dinner, and unfortunately it was not a very memorable birthday dinner.

The food was excellent. All of it. I even had the banana bread pudding and usually I don’t eat dessert but I could eat that pudding forever. The chef knew what he was doing. The only drawback was that it took quite a while to get our food and we only had three dishes and there were only three other customers at the time. Also the server was the kindest and helpful too!
